I had hesitated to get this book because I’m not crazy about Amish fiction. But I’ve read some of Mindy Starns Clark’s other books and knew how well she writes. So I gave it a try. This was one of my favorite novels ever!

We believe these are the divisions that are threatening to tear America apart. But what if the culprit isn't a political ideology or a class of people but a puppet master? He's been manipulating us for centuries - and now he's brought us to the brink of implosion.

Story
Is Atheism Dead? is an entertaining, impressively wide-ranging, and decidedly provocative answer to that famous 1966 Time cover that itself provocatively asked “Is God Dead?” In a voice that is by turns witty, muscular, and poetic, Metaxas intentionally echoes C. S. Lewis and G. K. Chesterton in cheerfully and logically making his astonishing case, along the way presenting breathtaking - and often withering - new evidence and arguments against the idea of a Creatorless universe.

This book was better than I hoped it would be. I had enjoyed some of Jerry Jenkins other stories, but I think this is his very best one of all that I have read. It’s a fairly long story,But well worth the time put into it. The end was a complete surprise to me and was very delightful.

Story
After five hectic years of retirement from Lord's Chapel, Father Tim Kavanagh returns with his wife, Cynthia, from a so-called pleasure trip to the land of his Irish ancestors. While glad to be at home in Mitford, something is definitely missing: a pulpit. But when he's offered one, he decides he doesn't want it. Maybe he's lost his passion. His adopted son, Dooley, wrestles with his own passion - for the beautiful and gifted Lace Turner, and his vision to become a successful country vet.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The story was fascinating. Very unusual, very interesting, engaging believable characters. The story was pretty easy to follow. I loved his narration of the character's magic shows. They were really fun to read. The romance was unique, with the male main character falling in love with the female main character who used to be his wife but has reverse-aged back to a teen. Heartwarming, endearing story, but exciting at the same time.
Would you recommend Illusion to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes. For the above reasons
What about Frank Peretti’s performance did you like?
His voice is low and relaxed, so I can listen to the story in bed at night and fall asleep to it.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When the male protagonist danced with the female protagonist who was a child -- but at the same time was his wife of 40 years.
Any additional comments?
So good. I want more stories like this.
