Great Narration but the story seems unfinished

I got hooked right away but I kept expecting more. Not frightening but more of a teaser. The story ended right when it got interesting so that was a bit of a shock and disappointing. Worth listening to but not worth the read.

Narrator was difficult to listen to

The story was alright, I forced myself through the whole book because it was an Anne Bishop story but the town names were a bit too ridiculous. The back story of the others wasn’t enough, Simon’s narration was beyond frustrating since he sounded pissed off as hell all the time. And the repetition of “the ponies” has made me sick of ever hearing the word pony again.

Oh how I would have loved it to end with a little more…
The narrator was excellent, I received chills and flashes of anger as of I had been a sight shielded observer throughout the entire book. I wish for more sequels!!!

Story
On a flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner. Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing intimate details about themselves. Ted talks about his marriage that’s going stale and his wife, Miranda, who he’s sure is cheating on him. Ted and his wife were a mismatch from the start - he the rich businessman, she the artistic free spirit - a contrast that once inflamed their passion but has now become a cliché. But their game turns a little darker when Ted jokes that he could kill Miranda....

Overall loved it, just wished there was more to the ending, it almost felt abrupt. Maybe more growth from one of the main characters would've been nice.
