Narrator yelling at me

I can’t get by chapter 1 with this person yelling at me like my first wife. Pace too fast. Voice aggressive and annoying.

123 chapters? Give us a break.

123 chapters? I’m probably the only person who broke chapter 60.
Tons of tangent worthless and repetitive stories. Seems like author is paid by the word and he’s also the editor. So annoying.

Solid true crime plot

Once the killer is known, we spend 7-10 chapters mulling over the court case and every little detail down to what every lawyer has for breakfast. Like Anne Rule wrote it. I quit early.

Tapers off to a whiny, entitled ending.

Great story, but ends in death, lawsuits and negativity. Not a good motivational book for future surgeons.
