The Narrator did an outstanding job
Revisado: 03-24-25
This is not a book I would typically read. I didn't hate it but its just not my favorite. It didn't really have much conflict for the Protagonist though the author did a great job of making sure the antagonist was easily disliked. Overall the book isn't terrible and is well written if it's the genre of the readers preference. I was looking for more mystery and thrills, and it didn't deliver. Again if it were my genre it would have been a good read.

Historia
Megan Keeler died years ago - or so everyone believes. In fact, she disappeared to escape from her sadistic husband, Glenn. When dismembered body parts were found near their home, Glenn was convicted of his wife's murder. And Megan, terrified for her unborn child's safety, never came forward with the truth.... Since then, Megan has built a new life in Seattle for herself and her son, Josh. She's never forgotten that she's a fugitive, and Josh knows nothing about her past. But someone does. There are anonymous emails and threats, just as she learns Glenn has been released from prison.

Thrilling, amazing story, one of my new favorites!
Revisado: 02-24-24
The story was so captivating, the way it clearly depicted the psychological impact of what someone endures when going through abuse was very important because it truly shows how someone could make a decision to run. It had so many twists, I honestly wanted to keep listening. Although there were parts where the narrator was just very monotoned; however, the story was so intriguing that it just didn't matter.

Captivating Story, Lackluster narration
Revisado: 08-18-23
Overall, I enjoyed the story and plan to continue with the series; however, I was very unimpressed with the narration due to the horrible southern accent as well as the mispronunciation of a couple of towns in MS. While this might not have been a huge problem, it had me wondering how he could possibly read Tupelo, as "Crupelo". I did like the way the author brought in elements of southern superstitions, especially when it comes to the supernatural. There's definitely plenty of Southerners out in the woods chasing ghost stories, especially where there's old legends surrounding mysterious deaths.

cute for younger kids not so much teens
Revisado: 07-10-22
very cute for smaller children but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone over 11. It has good advice and easy for children to understand but older kids would get bored easily or think they were being treated like well kids.

Oracle 2:The Dreamland Murders was not as great as the first book; however, it was still great. The Characters were very strong and relatable. I think this one left room for another book and could very easily show more development with the female lead Claire and give more back story. One of the lines that stood out to me the most and seemed almost poetic or even philosophical was When Nate said "I grew up in a haunted house," and the man misunderstood and replied with " yeah we all did". That one line, while I may be paraphrasing made the whole story worth the read. I loved it that much.
