I'm not anywhere near on the level of actually knowing who most of the people featured in this book are. I'm as early an adopter as my budget will allow, and have been since my teens and my dad bought me a Commodore Vic20. I know what Wired is, but have never subscribed to it, I'm very comfortable with computers and software, but I'm not a techie, nor a coder. I can tell you what the components of a computer are, but not how to fix them. This book is definitely on my level of familiarity. A reader doesn't need to know as much about computers as I do to find this book compelling, because it isn't filled with jargon, it's the why, not the how, computers came to be.
Fascinating character studies, well written, and quite compelling. The narration is well done, subtle character definition, and easy to listen to.
Easy to recommend.

I'm beginning to wonder if there are any other readers at Audible... this is my third book (counting the series as a single book) read by him. No complaints, really. He's clear, and does a good job. I'm just amused by how often I see his name in my library.
Also, the book is good as well. I will never understand why they bothered to purchase the rights for the movies as they really have nothing to do with the books. Movies = mindless "CIA is bad" action flicks with some truly amazing fight choreography. Books = very involved and twisted plots of a brilliant man and his even more brilliant wife struggling to understand and overcome the twists and turns of covert affairs.
