Story
Sass Luckett is cursed. Not because her truck keeps breaking down, her bank account’s on life support, or she’s constantly dodging packs of dire wolves looking for a witch-sized snack. No, Sass’s family is literally cursed! They must stay and guard their small town of Rattler’s Run from the Crossroads, the Bermuda Triangle of the prairie. If Sass and her sisters flee, the uncontrolled magic will wipe the town straight off the map, and the world will be overrun by the unnatural critters that emerge from the cataclysm.

Crossroads Burning is a unique and awesome take on magic and mythical creatures. I've read plenty of books on magic and even more on creatures such as werewolves, but none were quite like this one. There was plenty of action and unexpected twists to keep the reader/listener interested throughout.
The audio quality was excellent.

I've always been a routine kind of girl. Baking in the morning, going for a run in the evening, in bed by seven since I'm always up at the butt crack of dawn to - you guessed it - bake some more. Just. Like. Clockwork. Then my new neighbor ruins everything. My sexy new neighbor. My sexy new neighbor who happens to visit my bakery every morning with a cocky smirk and a suggestion that I butter his biscuits. Yup.

So apparently I listened to this one out of order from the others... Thankfully the story makes perfect sense as a standalone. I enjoyed this book. It is believable and has a story that one can easily get engrossed in. Also, the fact that it is shorter than some doesn't take away from the overall story. One of my favorites of the new year!

Wow! Christopher Cartwright has done it again. Rogue Wave is an amazing book, although the first half of the book or so is a little slower than the previous books in the series. Once the reader learns what is actually going on and events fall into place, one realizes how incredibly brilliant this author is.
I love how I feel like I've learned so much by the time I finish one of these novels. There is a huge amount of science and technology that I have no experience with in each of these novels and I truly feel like I understand how it works once I've read the extremely detailed descriptions.
Audio quality is spot on as always.
Overall great book and one of my favorite authors! Can't wait to listen to the next one!
