Gorgeously written

Very grateful to the author for narrating the story herself, reliving its words, sharing her journey. This memoir is gorgeously written. There are so many metaphors that come to mind at the end of the story. Like how such simple, raw feelings and ingredients can be brought to such sophistication.

Story
The harrowing, true account from the brave men on the ground who fought back during the Battle of Benghazi. 13 Hours presents, for the first time ever, the true account of the events of September 11, 2012, when terrorists attacked the US State Department Special Mission Compound and a nearby CIA station called the Annex in Benghazi, Libya. A team of six American security operators fought to repel the attackers and protect the Americans stationed there. Those men went beyond the call of duty, performing extraordinary acts of courage and heroism.

Finally the truth.

This is a tremendous retelling of what really happened in Benghazi. This is the stuff that we should see on the news and hear about. The story is read more like a documentary than drama, but you still get a chance to know the characters a little. Thank you to these brave men.
