Story
Every day we experience the uncertainty, risks, and emotional exposure that define what it means to be vulnerable or to dare greatly. Based on 12 years of pioneering research, Dr. Brené Brown dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and argues that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage. Brown explains how vulnerability is both the core of difficult emotions like fear, grief, and disappointment, and the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, empathy, innovation, and creativity.

Daring Greatly Speaks to the Inner Child
Reviewed: 02-20-25
We all have an inner child that we have been tucking away as life gets painful. Daring Greatly reminds us that the inner child is a key part of who we are and that it is worth it to find a different way to get through life. A way of life that allows us to be brave enough to let out our innermost selves and to release the inner child from protective captivity that ultimately keeps us captive from living a life worth living. There is something extra special about this book when you get to hear in Brown’s voice. I would highly recommend this book, especially the audiobook version, to a friend!

Story
The inner critic is the voice inside our heads reminding us that we are never "good enough". It's behind the insidious thoughts that can make us second-guess our every action and doubt our own value. The inner critic might feel overpowering, but it can be managed effectively. Meditation teacher and therapist Mark Coleman helps listeners understand and free themselves from the inner critic using the tools of mindfulness and compassion.

Radical Compassion
Reviewed: 11-12-24
This book was transformative to the way I view myself and others. Mark Coleman uses each page to get you closer to separating who you are from your critic. I am inspired by the radical compassion Coleman encourages everyone to feel toward themselves and others.
