Story
Riley Morgan desperately needs a reset on his life. Pit fights with aliens and illegal salvage jobs are barely enough to get by—until a salvage op turns up a beautiful stranger in a stasis pod and a clear case of kidnapping. Helping her means throwing away what’s left of his life. The trouble only gets deeper when the stranger turns out to be a wildly illegal artificial intelligence built for assassination.

A hell of a sci-fi erotic novel

Hot restart was a blast from beginning end. I really love Elliot Kay's books, and Tess Irondale renders the story beautifully.

Very fun!

I loved it. Both novellas are fun, with urban fantasies in particular being a real treat. If you like the harem aspects of the 'Nora Jacobs' books, and you loved the fun Chandra Skyye's narration brought to the 'Shayne Davies' sister-series, you'll enjoy the listen.

Story
After taking down Detroit's east side demon horde, Shayne Davies is enjoying newfound respect as an FUA field agent. With a fancy badge, a steady paycheck, and a growing line of interested men, Shayne is finally climbing the underworld food chain, a major feat for a lowly fox-shifter from a ragtag pack of gypsy hillbillies. If only she could add Detective Brenner to her list of conquests. Despite working with him, sharing his home, and constantly throwing herself at him, Shayne still hasn't claimed the elusive detective's heart.

I have never identified with a protagonist as much as I do Shayne Davies, she is my spirit animal. She's a complete screw up but she's always trying to do better.
Also this book is really, REALLY funny

Story
R is a young man with an existential crisis—he is a zombie. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he has dreams. His ability to connect with the outside world is limited to a few grunted syllables, but his inner life is deep, full of wonder and longing. After experiencing a teenage boy’s memories while consuming his brain, R makes an unexpected choice that begins a tense, awkward, and strangely sweet relationship with the victim’s human girlfriend, Julie.

A wonderful book, and very well read. If you liked the movie, you're going to read and see what the movie COULD have been if it didn't strip all the philosophy out.
