Absolutely loved this story. Fantastic narration, flawed yet relatable characters, and an intriguing plot. Couldn’t put it down.

Her Mother's Secret is a wonderful story set predominately in NY in the 1920s. The storyline is cleverly woven and elements of the plot have you waiting and hoping with all of your heart that the circumstances will unfold in certain way. The characters, descriptions and writing are brilliant. I had the same problem when listening to the Audible version of Lester's A Kiss From Mr Fitzgerald, I did not want it to end. The narration is excellent; the narrator has a voice that truly engages you. For a number of days I was totally caught up in the world of Leo and her journey during the founding years of the cosmetics industry. Leo's decision making, her courage and her perseverance ensures this story will appeal to anyone who enjoys historical fiction, women's fiction, strong characters and a wonderful storyline. Can't wait for another book from this author.

Story
It's 1922 in the Manhattan of gin, jazz and prosperity. Women wear makeup and hitched hemlines - and enjoy a new freedom to vote and work. Not so for Evelyn Lockhart, who is forbidden from pursuing her passion to become one of the first female doctors. Chasing her dream will mean turning her back on her family: her competitive sister, Viola; her conservative parents; and the childhood best friend she is expected to marry, Charlie.

Would you listen to A Kiss from Mr. Fitzgerald again? Why?
A Kiss From Mr Fitzgerald stands out on so many different levels as one of the best books I have read. In fact I listened to it as an audiobook but have now also purchased a copy; firstly to loan to those relatives who love to read but won’t buy books(!) and secondly to have a copy on hand to refer to when I want inspiration in my own writing.I would recommend this book to readers who love historical fiction, historical romance, women’s fiction and basically anyone who loves a story with great depth. The characters are wonderful, you’ll be very sad when you reach the end and have to say goodbye, and the writing is exceptional. For writers, it is a must read to see first hand how an author not only weaves a magnificent story together but also uses description in a way that seems so effortless yet makes the story so rich. This one book will teach you more about craft than many non-fiction books on writing. I look forward to watching this book climb the NY Times bestseller list (where it should definitely be) and reading more of Natasha Lester’s titles.

Story
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.
