Story
The long-planned raid on the heart of the Grik Empire has grown more ambitious - and dangerously ill-defined. Only Matthew Reddy, commander of the old destroyer USS Walker, seems focused on its original intent. Many Lemurians see an opportunity to reconquer their sacred homeland, which was stolen long ago, and have no intention of simply striking a blow and then pulling back. Others, Lemurian and human, have their own agendas - which may not be in the best interests of the Alliance.

not bad but not great
Reviewed: 05-11-14
Very well read and produced as usual for the series narrator, Just a bit of a shame that about one third was repeating info that is already in the series which was a bit boring, I hoped for an ending to the series but no just another fight too similar to the rest of the books almost like putting one of the earlier books in a blender, A pity as a new plot would have been great !

Captain Jason Reynolds faces new challenges, not only on Earth but from the far side of the universe as well. The only way to stop the Craing this time will be to square off with them on their home turf. Jason's been informed that three powerful Craing warships, having similar technology as the Lilly, will soon be en route to Earth. The Alliance must destroy the Craing's wormhole means of distant space travel to avert Earth's total annihilation. Unfortunately, there's no way to reach the Craing worlds in time, at least not through conventional means.

Good series

I'm enjoying this series fast paced good narration and characters , suspenseful , but same as first book you have to read the next book as no ending , in my view the books in this series could have been longer and less books in series but I suppose the author wants to make as much money as they can.. But enjoyable would recommend

Story
When Kobie Krüger, her game-ranger husband, Kobus, and their three young daughters moved to one of the most isolated corners of the world, a remote ranger station in the Mahlangeni region of South Africa's vast Kruger National Park, she might have worried about loneliness and boredom. Yet the years she and her family spent there proved magical and, occasionally, hair-raising.

Good quality narration but story a fantasy for my taste started out ok but seriously an experienced game warden taking children on a walk in territory with dangerousness animals around and letting them run on ahead and not bothering to take his rifle out of the car with him ?? not remotely believable I lost interest in the book and couldn't finish it shame the author didn't research the subject better could have been good

From the celebrated author of The Secret Life of Bees, a magnificent novel about two unforgettable American women. Writing at the height of her narrative and imaginative gifts, Sue Monk Kidd presents a masterpiece of hope, daring, the quest for freedom, and the desire to have a voice in the world - and it is now the newest Oprah’s Book Club 2.0 selection. Hetty “Handful” Grimke, an urban slave in early nineteenth century Charleston, yearns for life beyond the suffocating walls that enclose her within the wealthy Grimke household. The Grimke’s daughter, Sarah, has known from an early age she is meant to do something large in the world, but she is hemmed in by the limits imposed on women.

Poor effort

Wast of a credit, week story line with no end. I think the writer rushed this book after the success of her last effort the secret life of bees which I loved, the plot was ...well was there a plot ?
The narrators did a great job with what they were given and I will look for more books read by them.
