Story
At the age of thirty-six, on the verge of completing a decade’s worth of training as a neurosurgeon, Paul Kalanithi was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. One day he was a doctor treating the dying, and the next he was a patient struggling to live. And just like that, the future he and his wife had imagined evaporated.

My father died of lung cancer and my brother was just diagnosed with lung cancer at 44. I am not sure how to help or talk to my brother. This book has slowed my world down and given me a place to meditate on my brother's experience without burdening him. Beautifully and honestly written it is a gift that he has given all families facing cancer. Blessings to you and your daughter .
