Faith, family, & firearms--emphasis on last 2

I'm facing some challenges right now and needed an audiobook to give my mind a vacation from them once in a while. This box set filled the bill nicely.
Throughout the books, the author occasionally inserts the motto "faith, family, and firearms." Unfortunately, many who live by this motto also hate government and the rule of law. If I were to describe the mafia's approach to life, I could use the same motto and the same hatred of the government.

Contains some gruesome descriptions but these are probably necessary to provide a dark background against which the light can shine.
