Story
On an ordinary Monday morning, Ariel Cafferty's phone buzzes with a disturbing text message. Something’s happened. I need to see you. Meet me under the candelabra tree ASAP. The words would be jarring from anyone, but the sender is the only man she ever loved. And it's been several years since she learned he died. Seeing Drew’s name pop up is heart-stopping. Ariel’s gut says it can’t be real. But she goes to the tree anyway. She has to. Nobody shows.

Shocking and unexpected ending!

Great little novel. The voice characters made it difficult to listen to at times but because the story line is so great, it made it easier to keep going. I was completely surprised by the ending. Over all, an enjoyable listen

Story
Patric Gagne realized she made others uncomfortable before she started kindergarten. Something about her caused people to react in a way she didn’t understand. She suspected it was because she didn’t feel things the way other kids did. Emotions like fear, guilt, and empathy eluded her. For the most part, she felt nothing. And she didn’t like the way that “nothing” felt.

I do not normally enjoy memoirs. Especially when narrated by the author. But THIS….holy shit. THIS was very well written and I was drawn in immediately. I have been telling everyone that will listen about this memoir. Bravo, Patric Gagne. Well done.

Story
The rapist left an indelible mark on their lives; now three women must live with the consequences of his violent brutality. But when he's murdered on his way to trial, the police investigation takes a scorching new focus. All three women had a reason to hate him. All three wanted him dead. But which one of them murdered him? Explosively plotted and unnervingly suspenseful, The Survivors Club sizzles from beginning to end.

Great story

Never disappointed with Lisa Gardner. She has quickly become a favorite of mine. I was however less than enthusiastic with the narrator’s delivery of accents for each character in this story. It became annoying and several times I wanted to stop listening. But, the story was too good, so I “suffered” through the narration.

Story
Leigh Collier has worked hard to build what looks like a normal life. She has a good job as a defense attorney, a daughter doing well in school, and even her divorce is relatively civilized - her life is just as unremarkable as she’d always hoped it would be. But Leigh’s ordinary life masks a childhood that was far from average...a childhood tarnished by secrets, broken by betrayal, and finally torn apart by a devastating act of violence.

As with all Karin Slaughter books, I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t get enough!! And in true Kathleen Early fashion, her narration brought this story to life.
