Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Gorgeous, Epic, Emotional — Bravo!!!
Revisado: 06-03-22
Gorgeous, epic, emotional story. I wasn’t sure how I would like this book as massive epic fantasies can be a bit slow for me and cause me to lose interest. The Way of Kings was so unique and well-paced though, I thoroughly enjoyed the journey listening to all 45+ hours of this. I even took to reading chapter summaries to further understand everything and make sure I was catching all the details, I was so invested. I didn’t expect to get so attached to some of these characters and was very pleasantly surprised by how emotional some scenes got. I really love Kaladin and his journey with Syl and Bridge Four. Some really beautiful moments that deeply embrace the essence of humanity. I will definitely continue this series and checking out more of Brandon Sanderson’s work. Bravo!

I love how it’s all told through phone calls and voicemails. Very interesting. The story is bone-chilling and keeps you interested all the way through.

Historia
For someone who made a career out of oversharing on the Internet, Tyler Oakley has a shocking number of personal mishaps and shenanigans to reveal in his first book: He experienced a legitimate rage blackout in a Cheesecake Factory; he had a fashion stand-off with the White House Secret Service; he crashed a car in front of his entire high school in an Arby's uniform; he projectile vomited while bartering with a grandmother.

Laugh Out Loud Funny, Thought-Provoking & Inspirational
Revisado: 08-12-16
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Tyler's sense of humor is charming and dry and causes me to bust up laughing in parts. He's very intellectual as well and I appreciate the passages that get serious with the more dramatic parts of life.
There is one very small and brief section of the book that affected me the most. The passage where he talks about his abusive relationship. His thought process, reasoning for bringing it to light and how to overcome it was truly inspirational (however brief it was) and had me on the verge of tears as I have just overcome an extreme emotionally and physically abusive relationship. I think this audiobook was god sent for me and I will recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Love you Tyler, and Thank you.

I hope, for your sake, that you have not chosen to listen to this recording because you are in the mood for a pleasant experience. If this is the case, I advise you to put down this audio instantaneously, because of all the audios describing the unhappy lives of the Baudelaire orphans, The Miserable Mill might be the unhappiest yet.

Love it, but Tim Curry's gotta come back
Revisado: 04-07-15
I love every book of Snicket's as each one is very clever, original and unique in their individualism, but Snicket's calling does not lie in voiceovers. Tim Curry brought out a deeper gravitas in Snicket's books through his performance and I feel that it has been lost some with Snicket's voiceovers. I still recommend the book to anyone though, as the writing is incomparable!

Revisado: 04-03-15
I liked Amy Poehler before, but I absolutely love her after this book now. Not only does she give a top notch performance that will have you laughing out loud with no one around, she provides tons of deep insight on the entertainment business, a third world experience and life itself. I have a huge amount of respect for this woman and as a 20-something male I recommend it for any man or woman - a full experience for all!

If you have not read anything about the Baudelaire orphans, then before you read even one more sentence, you should know this: Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are kindhearted and quick-witted, but their lives, I am sorry to say, are filled with bad luck and misery. All of the stories about these three children are unhappy and wretched, and this one may be the worst of them all.

Excellent Story, Although Tim Curry is Missed
Revisado: 03-29-15
Snicket's writing is just as good as ever and The Wide Window is full of very clever excerpts. I do miss Tim Curry as the narrator for the books though Snicket is not bad at narrating at all, I just feel Curry had an extra layer of emotion and assisted storytelling that he brought to the characters and their adventures.

Excellent story as well, filling in all the gaps that were left in the "Knights of the Old Republic" video games.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....
