Story
The all-volunteer force that has served our country well for more than 50 years is at a critical inflection point. Today, recruiters are struggling to bring enough Zoomers into the armed services. Mismatched fundamental ideals, divergent beliefs about the workplace, and other sociocultural influences have contributed to the United States military scrambling to get a grasp on how to appeal to Gen Z.

Very poor recording quality
Reviewed: 02-03-24
The author's message about needing to fundamentally change recruiting is one that needs to be seriously considered, even if many of his specific ideas may be too far out of the box to be feasible. I would commend this BOOK to readers interested in the topic, but not this RECORDING. The audio quality is horrible, to the point that it is frustrating to listen to and detracts from the message. It would have been better to have no recording at all because this one is a big turnoff for the whole writing project.

Story
Liddell Hart stressed movement, flexibility, surprise. He saw that in most military campaigns dislocation of the enemy's psychological and physical balance is prelude to victory. This dislocation results from a strategic indirect approach. Reflect for a moment on the results of direct confrontation (trench war in World War I) versus indirect dislocation (Blitzkreig in World II). Liddell Hart is also tonic for business and political planning: Just change the vocabulary and his concepts fit.
