Story
Laura thought she’d found the one nice guy in New York City. When Ethan saves her from a crushing crowd on Brooklyn Bridge, their connection is dazzling. Worthy of a heat-filled passionate night. Laura falls pregnant from their one-night stand—a miracle considering her past fertility issues. Ethan is attentive and wonderful at first. She hopes he will be the kind of father she’d always wanted for herself. Until his attentiveness turns to obsession. His questions become demands. Why didn’t she answer her phone or respond to his messages? Why won’t she move in with him and his rich mother?

I would have enjoyed some real men narrators since there were so many men characters but the lady did ok. I love historical fiction so this was in my wheel house. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys history and is a christian.

Liked it but it did drag on in some places. However it was quite exciting in other parts. It was a great lesson in life for young people as well. Well thought out by the author as a teaching tool.

Story
Amber Sand is not a witch. The Sand family Wicca gene somehow leapfrogged over her. But she did get one highly specific magical talent: she can see true love. As a matchmaker, Amber's pretty far down the sorcery food chain (even birthday party magicians rank higher), but after five seconds of eye contact, she can envision anyone's soul mate. Amber works at her mother's magic shop - Windy City Magic - in downtown Chicago, and she's confident she's seen every kind of happy ending there is: except for one - her own.

I liked it and the narrator was good. The story was a bit silly but silly can be fun.

I enjoyed this book very much. All the characters were well developed and all the dogs were endearing except the one little villain who was mean and spoiled. Every book needs a villain and a hero but there were more than one of each in this book. There was mystery, suspense, romance, and interesting travel with descriptions that made the reader go there with the characters. The narration was good too. Overall one of the best books I have listened to so far.

Loved it and what a twist at the end !
Reviewed: 01-16-23
I enjoyed this book very much since it had all the eliminates that make a good story with romance, suspense and twists and turns in the plot. It might have been a bit too long for my taste and when I read a book myself I usely skip over some of the details that go on and on. The reader did all the voices very well, at least good enough to have me know when the characters changed. So this was one of the better reads for me lately.
