Would you try another book from Viola Grace and/or Kellie Kamryn?

Yes to Viola Grace - I like her stories, I read them all the time.
NO to Kellie Kamryn. I've now attempted to listen to two stories read by her and each time I have not managed to finish the story due to the poor quality of the narration.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She did a really bad job of narrating. Read into the mic, eliminate the white noise, get a different studio. In fact.... get a different narrator.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The story was good. I enjoyed reading it. The narrator.....

What would have made Owl's Fair better?

A different reader.
I like the story - I've read it before, but I couldn't finish listening to this. The narrator really pee'd me off.

How could the performance have been better?

A different Narrator!

Would you listen to Kingslayer again? Why?

Yes. A good light read/listen. I have enjoyed all of Honor Raconteur books to date, well written without being too intense or gory.

Which character – as performed by Mark McClain Wilson – was your favorite?

I enjoyed Darius - he was honorable and a good man.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the story. It didn't match the description on the summary though, which for me was a good thing as that didn't really sound that appealing.
Its not a heavy read, but a good light read which leaves you feeling happy at the end of it. Basically a grown up fairy tale!

Would you listen to Festive in Death again? Why?

I would happily listen to Festive in Death again. A great story and good performance by the reader!
There were a good selection of characters, both old favourites, a truly despicable murder victim and a good cast of suspects!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, though I did it through a few longish sessions.

Would you listen to The Fairy Godmother again? Why?

Yes, its an old favourite story and the performance is good.
Its a good introduction into Mercedes Lackey's series: The Five Hundred Kingdoms.
An enjoyable story with a worthy orphan girl, an evil stepmother, a Fairy Godmother, silly prince and redemption.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fairy Godmother?

I did like the cat skidding down the armour and into the giants hand!
