Story
Stacie - Lady Eustacia Cavanaugh - is adamant marriage is not for her. Wealthy and well-born, she needs for nothing, and with marriage off the table, to give her life purpose, she embarks on a plan to further the careers of emerging local musicians by introducing them to the ton via a series of musical evenings. Yet despite her noble status, Stacie requires a musical lure to tempt the haut ton to her events, and only one musician commands sufficient cachet - the reclusive and notoriously reluctant Marquess of Albury.

Some repetition went unchecked. Not very suspenseful. The performance was excellent however. Will read last in series.

No chemistry between main characters. Didn’t care for all the details about inventing etc. Didn’t love the voices for the female characters!

Story
Catherine Pelliston has just escaped a forced marriage to an obnoxious friend of her unreliable father; and now she's truly in the soup; kidnapped and helpless in a London brothel! And though she's been rescued by the very inebriated Max Demowery, Viscount Rand, she may be in even greater danger of falling in love with the shockingly outrageous, scandalously improper Viscount Vagabond!

Story
In January 2007, Deval Patrick became the first Black governor of the state of Massachusetts, one of only two Black governors elected in American history. But that was just one triumphant step in an improbable life that began in a poor tenement on the South Side of Chicago, taking Patrick from a chaotic childhood to an elite boarding school in New England, from a sojourn doing relief work in Africa to the boardrooms of Fortune 500 companies, and then to a career in politics.

Since it is an autobiography - it naturally is Deval Patrick.
Have you listened to any of Deval Patrick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Patrick's experiences in the Sudan as well as his support of his wife, Dianne.
