The characters were great, the narrator did well. Just the book ended before the story was finished!

The story was great until the book ended before the story was finished. As a matter of fact, it ended at a critical time! Not right Nora Roberts’s!

Emma London never thought she had anything in common with her grandmother Genevieve London. The regal old woman came from wealthy and bluest-blood New England stock, but that didn't protect her from life's cruelest blows. Genevieve rose from the ashes of grief and built a fashion empire that was respected the world over, even when it meant neglecting her other son. When Emma's own mother died, her father abandoned her on his mother's doorstep. Genevieve took Emma in and reluctantly raised her - until Emma got pregnant her senior year of high school.

While this book is about Life, the author's way of using words made me want to laugh or cry right along with the characters. I loved this book, the various readers, the pace of the relatable storyline and the incidental words of wisdom So Much, that I'm downloading the author's other books!

Cut off!
Reviewed: 07-30-19
I enjoyed the stories, (basically 2 plots in one). However, at the end, the author just dumped us! One plot is incomplete while the other ended pre-maturely. Yes, it ended, but so quickly in the last 18 minutes and so many details were not covered that I felt as tho I was left dangling.... Just to be done! Unsatisfying!
