Story
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

You had me at "your reward: simple pants." So many great moments in this story that remind me of, or are the type of things that happen in my Pathfinder sessions with friends. Also gives me some ideas. thank you for writing such a fun and delightful story.

Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

noticed the two readers didn't get together and decide how to pronounce some of the characters names the same. Namely Sadius, or how ever it's spelled. sah-dee-ous or sa-di-us. not a huge problem. just noticeable.

So together, they navigate the short distance and broad divides that separate them from Pickett’s son Davis. Aza is trying. She is trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, a good student, and maybe even a good detective, while also living within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.

I wish I could share this with people because aza's story is compelling and insightful. but I can't because it swears too much and that takes away form it. it's like a delicious ice cream with roaches in it, sure the ice cream tastes good, but at the end off the day it still had parts that were unnecessary and/or gross. Or, all the quotes in the book. could your imagine Green quoting the F word equivalent of Shakespeare, it exists, but why in the world would you share it. because it's garbage, and who wants garbage.

For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.
