His first, last and only true love has always been rugby. Until now. She's damaged. He's determined. Fate brought them together. Love binds them. Johnny Kavanagh has everything going for him. On the rugby pitch, he's a force to be reckoned with. Primed for stardom, he's heading straight for the top. Nothing can possibly get in his way, right? Not even the shy new girl at Tommen College. The one with the sad eyes and hidden bruises. The one that distracts him like no one ever has.

Sad, funny, romance

The story kept me interested all the time. It touches physical abuse, sports pressure in kids but it blends beautifully a romance and some funny parts with some of the other characters. The narrators are awesome and not a forced Irish accent.

Story
A heart-wrenching new novel from best-selling author Rebecca Yarros that examines the risks we take for love, the scars too deep to heal, and the endings we can't bring ourselves to see coming.

Great story

I didn’t know the author and it was a good introduction. All the other reviews say it all great story, love and war, twists. Love both of the narrators. I just want to give a 5 stars because it does deserve it.

A little bit disappointed with this last book
Reviewed: 12-08-22
I missed the excitement and the expectation that the trilogies usually build up to the last battle. There are a lot of time spending with some characters in preparation for the D day but the story ends and some of the characters are brief mentions. I feel that could have one more chapter to close the stories. I don’t like when the author “leaves to the reader imagination”. If we were good at it, we will be writing the stories instead of reading them.
But the narrator is awesome. But in some parts there some of our characters missed their strong accent but it was briefly. Overall I still love Bree and her courage, Marco as his love and friendship.

Story
The year 1996 was the one that changed everything for Maggie Dawes. Sent away at 16 to live with an aunt she barely knew in Ocracoke, a remote village on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, she could think only of the friends and family she left behind...until she met Bryce Trickett, one of the few teenagers on the island. Handsome, genuine, and newly admitted to West Point, Bryce showed her how much there was to love about the wind-swept beach town - and introduced her to photography, a passion that would define the rest of her life. By 2019, Maggie is a renowned travel photographer.

I love this book. I fall in love with the characters, l cried at the end. And I had to listen the book again because I was so connected to the story.
This story is good or better than the notebook.
