Folks, I've read most of the best the genre has to offer... and this series wins. It hits every note perfectly, and this final book just wraps the whole thing up so perfectly, it feels satisfying and complete in a way I've never seen in a story this long and grand in scope.
An absolutely beautiful and inspiring series that has taught me a lot about myself and the world we find ourselves in.

Story
All vampires suck. Sterling just happens to be very good at it. Vainglorious vampire Sterling is forced to trade his big city hedonism for a trip to a sleepy mountain town, where mangled dead bodies have been discovered. Soon he’s entangled with snooty vampire nobles, territorial werewolves, and a society of law-enforcing sorcerers. The locals aren’t so bad, like the luscious young lady at the fruit shop, or the hunky electrician whose smile sends out sparks. But they’re distractions from the hunt for the mountain murderer.

Story
The Ministry for the Future is a masterpiece of the imagination, using fictional eyewitness accounts to tell the story of how climate change will affect us all. Its setting is not a desolate, post-apocalyptic world, but a future that is almost upon us - and in which we might just overcome the extraordinary challenges we face.

Life Changer
Reviewed: 02-19-21
As far as storytelling formats that attempt to encompass both the breadth of scope in scale and time of the mounting disasters born of climate change AND the depth of changes necessary within our systems and ourselves in order to achieve anything like a positive outcome for humanity and the biosphere go, this is the best!
Beautifully written. And the performance! Fantastic! The voice acting brings the main characters to life and lends such credibility to the first-hand account chapters.
I will be thinking and talking about the ideas in this book for years to come.
