Story
For too long the Holy Spirit has been regarded only as a doctrine, not as the powerful Person he is. But that changed for Hayley Braun when a radical encounter with the raw presence and power of the Spirit left her completely undone—and ushered in a holy impartation for her to help spiritually-hungry believers experience the same.

I loved this book by Hayley. I have been blessed to attend Bethel School of Prophets several times, and I can attest to Hayley's pure surrender to the Holy Spirit. This book breathes life in the areas of our lives that the Spirit desires to restore. I am thankful for voices like hers that draw us nearer to the Father's heart.

Story
Dan Allender's lyrical book about the Sabbath expels the myriad myths about this "day of rest," starting with the one that paints the Sabbath as a day of forced quiet, spiritual exercises, and religious devotion and attendance. This, he says, is at odds with the ancient tradition of Sabbath as a day of delight for both body and soul. Instead, the only way we can make use of the Sabbath is to see God's original intent for the day with new eyes. In Sabbath, Allender builds a case for delight by looking at this day as a festival that celebrates God's re-creative, redemptive love.

Story
The best and surest way to pursue such wholeness is through prayer. Not the semimindless I-just-ask-God-for-stuff-then-listen-to-the-deafening-silence kind of prayer you've tried before. That's not working. What you need is authentic connection that leads to harmony with God, yourself, and others. That kind of prayer is what Words with God is all about. In this thoughtful book, Addison Bevere breaks prayer out of its religious box and places it at the center of your everyday life, the place where God longs to make himself real to you.

Story
"Who am I becoming?" That was the question nagging pastor and author John Mark Comer. Outwardly, he appeared successful. But inwardly, things weren’t pretty. So, he turned to a trusted mentor for guidance and heard these words: "Ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life. Hurry is the great enemy of the spiritual life." It wasn’t the response he expected, but it was - and continues to be - the answer he needs. Within this audiobook, you’ll find a fascinating road map to staying emotionally healthy and spiritually alive in the chaos of the modern world.

Story
Jesus' treatment of women was revolutionary. That's why they flocked to him. Wherever he went, they sought him out. Women sat at his feet and tugged at his robes. They came to him for healing, for forgiveness, and for answers. In Jesus through the Eyes of Women, Rebecca McLaughlin explores the life-changing accounts of women who met the Lord. By entering the stories of the named and unnamed women in the Gospels, this book gives listeners a unique lens to see Jesus as these women did and marvel at how he loved them in return.

Powerful Testimony of Those Jesus Loved!

I loved this book. As a woman. As one who is journeying through physical healing. As a theologian. This book breathes life into a dead belief: that Jesus loved women and empowered them to ALSO be witnesses of His great love. I highly recommend this book to all who desire to see a FULL picture of the disciples of Jesus Christ, the Messiah.

God Has a Name is a simple yet profound guide to understanding God in a new light--focusing on what God says about himself. This one shift has the potential to radically alter how you relate to God, not as a doctrine, but as a relational being who responds to you in an elastic, back-and-forth way.

Story
We live in a 24/7 culture of endless productivity, workaholism, distraction, burnout, and anxiety-a way of life to which we've sadly grown accustomed. This tired system of "life" ultimately destroys our souls, our bodies, our relationships, our society, and the rest of God's creation. The whole world grows exhausted because humanity has forgotten to enter into God's rest. Combining creative storytelling, pastoral sensitivity, practical insight, and relevant academic research, Subversive Sabbath offers a unique invitation to personal Sabbath-keeping.

Story
We long for a good life, a beautiful life, a kind life. But clearly that’s not the world we live in. How did we lose goodness, kindness, and beauty? And more important, how do we get them back into our lives? These are the two questions crying out in our streets, homes, churches, and from deep within our souls. Pastor and author Rich Villodas is convinced that only Jesus offers a way of being human that is both strong and tender enough to tear down the walls of hostility we experience daily.

This book is both a challenge and an encouragement to be the change this world so greatly needs. His voice speaks to our hearts, from the heart of Jesus, for us to be who we were CREATED to be. It all begins with our own inner work, then the call to intentionally change the world around us. I greatly recommend this work, first for yourself, then for your neighbor!

Story
During our chaotic times, discover five forgotten values that can spark internal growth and help us reconcile our Christian faith with the complexities of race, sexuality, and social justice. Most believers live in the state of "being a Christian" without ever being deeply formed by Christ. Our pace is too frenetic to be in union with God, and we don't know how to quiet our hearts and minds to be present. Our emotions are unhealthy and compartmentalized.

This book led me to a place my soul desperately needed: contemplation. As Christians, it is quiet way to fill our time with things, even spiritual things, so much so that we squeeze out deep contemplation with the Father. This book reminded me of that as it led my to a place of deeper conversations, more honest conversations, more broken and healed conversations with the Lover of my soul. No matter where you may be on your journey with Jesus, take a pause and drink in this wisdom. You will be glad you did!
