Story
When they met at an airport, it was love at first sight. But in time, everything collapsed. As an unnamed but unforgettable woman muses on her life—from meet cute to marriage and parenthood—her recollections inexorably build to a devastating truth. In this shattering performance, Carey Mulligan, star of the critically lauded drama An Education, captivates audiences with playwright Dennis Kelly’s harrowing ruminations on family, ambition, gender, and violence.

Meant for a stage

The story seemed randomly packed and jumped around but the theme of it is interesting. the performer did well to portray the character. However, the thick accent was hard to keep up with if you are used to U.S. English versus British.

I really liked this story and the narration was good. It covers a variety of emotions and how the characters handle loss and the grieving process. It is relatable to anyone who has ever lost a beloved partner.

Story
When Margaret's fiancé, John, is hospitalized for depression in 1960s London, she faces a choice: carry on with their plans despite what she now knows of his condition, or back away from the suffering it may bring her. She decides to marry him. Imagine Me Gone is the unforgettable story of what unfolds from this act of love and faith. At the heart of it is their eldest son, Michael, a brilliant, anxious music fanatic who makes sense of the world through parody.

A Good Awareness Book

The performance of the narrators is good. I liked the story but sometimes got confused or could not see the plot. It takes place over decades and at times it was hard to know the age of the character or how much time had passed. Or you wouldn't realize so much time had past until mid way through a chapter. The story is good but I was not a fan of the pace.
