To many characters thrown into the pot. Still not sure of where it was taking me. Story would have been more enjoyable if narrator could have gotten “into” the characters.

Mary Burton again had my attention through the entire book. I tried to limit myself but had a hard time putting the book down.

Too much jumping around. I found myself drifting off as I was reading it. Too many characters to follow.

I’m a die hard fan of the wonderful wizard named John Grisham and this book lives up to his name. Mary-Louise Parker was a perfect narrator and tied me into knots; aka “kept me hooked”!

Written with Dean Koontz’s supernatural flare…where did this guy grow up??? Quint Quicksilver takes you and friends on a tremendous quest into forbidden territories. And like most of his best books, there is a doggo and magic involved!

It took some unraveling to sort things out. I enjoyed the storyline, but the narration needed help. Most was read in sing-song rhythm. Voices were pretty good but I just had to ignore the cadence.

Excellent murder mystery. The only drawback I found was the explicit sexual scenes and language; however, I had warning. Good characterisation and detail in other areas that brought the story to life (or death as the case may be).
Beverly Barton is an excellent author and Karen White was spot on.

She’s trying to run below radar, and the little town in beautiful Wyoming holds possibilities for temporary refuge. The handsome rancher, A. Z. (Lol!) calls her a stray which doesn’t go over well, but she’s snarky and growing stronger every day.
Howard & Jones make quite the writing team and Maggie Wheeler reeled me in. This is one for my favorites list.

With the 1st Edition of “Watchers” I shared my love of reading, favourite author, Dean Koontz and (one of...) best doggo breed, with my three children (all avid readers and one librarian!)
I just had to re-read again. We’ve opened our hearts and homes to multiple Goldens. You can’t go wrong with love of family, Golden Retrievers, and Mr. Koontz. Throw in a baddie or two and you have perfection.

The band, writers, singers, publicity, or the fans?
Is it everything or none of the above?
For lead singer/song writer Brian’s three years old daughter, Emma, the haunting forgotten memories, were lost in the fog when her baby brother died. She struggled for years trying to forget the cruelty of her mother while trying to remember what really happened the night her brother was murdered.
Terrified of the dark, there was a friend from her childhood whom she grew to trust. But, there really were monsters in the dark.
