Story
In Wealth, Poverty, and Politics, Thomas Sowell, one of the foremost conservative public intellectuals in the country, argues that political and ideological struggles have led to dangerous confusion about income inequality in America. Pundits and politically motivated economists trumpet ambiguous statistics and sensational theories while ignoring the true determinant of income inequality: the production of wealth.

A synthesis of almost all of his earlier works

I have a goal that before I die I want to have read all of Thomas Sowell's books. I have read about half of them and this book seems to be a good compilation and summary of the other books I have read. Therefore, if you are an avid Sowell reader, you will not find much new here. However, as an introduction to him or as a book to give to someone who will probably not read many or all of his other books, this is a great way to share his logic and bread/depth of knowledge.

This book was recommended to me as the favorite book of my husband’s grandfather who is an incredible man. My mother also said it was one of her favorites, well I haven’t even finished it yet, I have about 8 hours left, but I still want to write a review. This book has moved me. When I listen to it I feel at peace and it is a sweet spiritual journey that has allowed me to get another perspective on the life of Christ. Everyone should read this book. Even when I am not listening to it I am constantly thinking about it. This book will stay with you forever I believe, and I haven’t even finished it yet. I can't wait to continue to learn from it. This is worth every second of your time. Experience the journey The Robe has to offer.

This book was a life changing read for me. I was moved and spiritually uplifted by this remarkable story. I usually only read biographies and non-fiction stories, but this has become my favorite book because of the meaningful lessons that are taught throughout. I can't say enough about this book other than the fact that my children will hear it over and over again and I believe every person should own this book.
