Story
Detective Sergeant James Henderson's remarkable gut instincts have put him on a three-year fast track to becoming an inspector. But the advancement of his career has come at a cost. Gay, posh and eager to prove himself in the Metropolitan Police, James has allowed himself few chances for romance. But when the murder of barrister Maria Curzon-Whyte lands in his lap, all that changes. His investigation leads him to a circle of irresistibly charming men. And though he knows better, James finds himself enticed into their company.

Great narration and mystery
Reviewed: 11-22-24
I loved the mystery and the narration was top notch, but I have to say the characters were annoying. James was so self destructive and the relationship with Ben sooo toxic I could t stand it. I just could not empathize.

Story
The world might not know who Lee Burton is, but it needs his black ops division and the work they do to keep it safe. Burton’s spent his life following orders - until he sees a kill jacket on Ernie Caulfield. Ernie isn’t a typical target, and something is very wrong with Burton’s chain of command. But when Burton refuses Ernie’s contract, he kicks an entire piranha tank of bad guys, and Burton can’t rest until he takes down the rogue military unit that would try to kill a spacey psychic.

A few Good Fish from Burton and Ernie’s POV
Reviewed: 10-18-24
Loved to learn the background story between Burton and Ernie (one of my favorite characters), and to relive A Few Good Fish from a different POV. This was a great, fun story! I’m used to Greg’s narration which is unparalleled, but Nick Russo did a wonderful job!

Story
Seneca is the complete package. He's smart, sexy, and confident, much to Chevy's annoyance. They've worked with each other for two years, and even though Chevy might secretly find his partner charming and attractive, playful harassment is all they have. Chevy was born with a unique gift that allows him to go into the memories of others. As detective, he uses this ability to find peace for victims who have been hurt or attacked. But neither Chevy nor Seneca are prepared when they are asked to go into the mind of a serial killer in hopes of finding survivors.

Seriously creepy
Reviewed: 10-09-24
I love all Alice Winters books and this one was just as full of banter, humor and ridiculously lovable characters as always. But man, I was NOT prepared for the horroresque nature of this book. I listened to it at night, and I wish I hadn’t, LOL.
Good Halloween listen.
The volume would sometimes be soft and then WHAM! Shouts that make you jump. Not sure if it was done on purpose, but it definitely startled me. Not my favorite.
Still, I recommend and will listen to the second one. Just not in the dark, just in case!

Conor: It starts with a drunken text pic. The kind I would normally never send. Only, instead of it going to the flirty hotel bartender, it goes to some random stranger who actually responds. Wells: The first thing I notice about Conor Newell when he sits down in my high-rise conference room is how delightfully nervous he is. Then I see his tie. The same geeky tie that’s held hostage on my phone. The one that belongs to my anonymous late-night texter. And it changes everything.

Great story, didn’t love the narrator

I loved the story, so cute and also pretty hot. My one complaint is with the narrator— I know so many people love him, but he sounds chronically congested to me. The same with all his books, very nasal voice.

Story
The first thing on our list of Save Miles from the Dark Magic That Might Be Making Him Do Ridiculous Things is to destroy the ominous book that's snagging my attention. But what I don't expect is to be dragged into the book filled with dark mysteries that leaves me with more questions and a lack of pants. But it's nothing that Havoc and I can't handle.

This was such a great story and Greg Boudreaux made it even better. How can someone make all those voices? He was brilliant and made the book even more hilarious.

Seeing the dead has never been easy, but the last thing I expected was to be a pawn in a serial killer’s game. Moving in with Maddox was supposed to be the only thing we needed to worry about. Not a dead teacher, and not the fact that a serial killer knows my abilities. Following the trail left behind leaves us racing against time to figure out how to stop the murders before the final victim falls.

Being invited to my cousin’s wedding really shouldn’t be a big deal except, oh yeah, I haven't seen my family for a decade. My parents turned their backs on me, and I’ve done everything since to become successful and show them what they've lost. Only it’s kinda hard to be a success when you’re a walking trainwreck.
