I find the mystery and adventure in this series captivating owing to the fact that I never am able to figure out ‘who dunnit’. I am always guessing who the culprit is and without fail, always wrong! Besides the the main characters it’s also the history that grabs me immediately. It’s fascinating to think how daily life was lived back then. The end of the novel connects some of the events in the book to the actual occurrences referred to in history. I’m already looking forward to the next issue! Davina Porter is as always the most talented narrator! I actually look for new audile books by referencing her name in the search engine.

Story
On a chilly February night, during a screening of Psycho in midtown, someone sunk an ice pick into the back of Chanel Rylan's neck, then disappeared quietly into the crowds of drunks and tourists in Times Square. To Chanel's best friend, who had just slipped out of the theater for a moment to take a call, it felt as unreal as the ancient black-and-white movie up on the screen. But Chanel's blood ran red, and her death was anything but fictional.

Originally I had read the whole series before I became an Audible member. I then listened to the series again and with Susan Erickson as the narrator it was a whole new experience. She is absolutely amazing! The characters became almost like personal acquaintances!! There’s loads of suspense with the occasional laugh out loud added into the mix. I can’t say enough about how much I love this series! Please hurry with the next one!!

Story
Sheriff Walt Longmire is enjoying a celebratory beer after a weapons certification at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy when a younger sheriff confronts him with a photograph of 25 armed men standing in front of a Challenger steam locomotive. It takes him back to when, fresh from the battlefields of Vietnam, then-deputy Walt accompanied his mentor Lucian to the annual Wyoming Sheriff's Association junket held on the excursion train known as the Western Star, which ran the length of Wyoming from Cheyenne to Evanston and back.
