Story
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

After reading the Martian, I was really looking forward to Andy Weir's next book.
Unfortunately, I couldn't identify with the lead character and could not suspend my disbelief enough to become engrossed in the story.

Story
Most children go through a dinosaur phase. Learning all the tongue-twisting names, picking favourites based on ferocity, armour, or sheer size. For many kids this love of ‘terrible lizards’ fizzles out at some point between starting and leaving primary school. All those fancy names slowly forgotten, no longer any need for a favourite. For all those child dino fanatics who didn’t grow up to become paleontologists, dinosaurs seem like something out of mythology. They are dragons, pictures in books, abstract, other, extinct.

Story
Mixerman is a recording engineer working with a famous producer on the debut album of an unknown band with a giant recording budget. Mixerman is supposed to be writing about recording techniques, but somehow, through that prism, he has hit upon a gripping story. Like all great narratives, Mixerman's diary has many anti-heroes for whom we, the readers, can have nothing but contempt. The band consists of the four most dislikable human beings you can imagine.

I was surprised at how much of the book was really about the era in American social history that these women endured.
Hidden Figures is as much about Jim Crow racism and sex discrimination as it is about these women's stories and mathematical contributions.
Much of the book deals with the common and casual entrenched racism and sexism in society and this topic is handled very well. We really get to know these women and how hard they worked and the amazing things they accomplished.

Story
Graeme Simsion's The Rosie Project beautifully crafts the tale of a man struggling with undiagnosed Asperger's syndrome, trying to fit in. Let the chapter-by-chapter guide in this sidekick help you explore the thought-provoking issues raised in The Rosie Project. You'll also find in-depth character analyses and a breakdown of key symbols. Despite Don and Rosie's seeming incompatibility, Don finds himself drawn to her, willing to deviate from his schedule and act impulsively. Rosie is clearly interested in Don despite his missteps.
