Story
As the only girl in her family, and with four older brothers, Ivy McQuaid can rope and ride with the roughest of ranchers. She's ready to have what she's always longed for—a home of her own. She's set her heart on a parcel of land south of Fairplay and is saving for it with her winnings from the competitions she sneaks into. After two years, Jericho Bliss is back in South Park as an undercover Pinkerton searching for a war criminal. He has no intention of involving a woman in the life he leads, but one look at Ivy is all it takes for him to question the path he's set out for himself.

Ivy was too annoying
Reviewed: 05-21-24
This was my least favorite book in this series. I dislike girls that feel like they know it all and the voice used for Ivy was annoying.

The story was drawn out a little too much with too many twists and turns that makes it unbelievable.

The narrator’s voice was nasally and there was a lot of clicking and licking lips. So much more than other narrator’s that I have heard. At one point you can even hear pages turning.

Story
Tracie Peterson, from her own Montana home, paints an unforgettable portrait of the rich, rugged landscape of the 1860's West, populated by strong and spirited characters. When Dianne Chadwick urges her family to move west to her uncle's ranch in the Montana Territory, she has no idea that her new life in the rugged frontier - and even within her uncle's home - will not be the idyllic adventure she expects.

Hard to listen to narration

Narrator snacks and licks lips so much. Much more than any other book I have listened to. Her character voices are okay but her regular narration is very nasally.
