He did the impossible
Reviewed: 04-21-23
I started this “series” with infinite which surprisingly was a great starting point. As the books started to cross over I went back and read older books that were pulled into the fold. Singularity is executed in a way that most authors wouldn’t even dream of touching. This strange crossover experience is an absolute masterpiece. I don’t know what else to say it’s just plain good.

Story
Several months after his neighborhood was cloaked in darkness and invaded by the demon-like denizens of a hellish world, life has returned to normal for Miah Gray, a.k.a. Laser Chicken. No longer burdened by PTSD, he is free to enjoy his family and to help pick up the pieces of a pillaged world. At night, he trains with his eight-year-old companion, Bree, a.k.a. Demon Dog, and their neighbors Henry and Sarah, the god-like descendants of Helen of Sparta and the mythological Zeus. All is calm...until new neighbors move in across the street and shatter the peace.

Worth the read

I have really enjoyed the infinite series. This book is another great entry in the timeline. While entertaining it doesn’t quite move the storyline forward nearly as much as previous books which is a little disappointing but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

Story
It was a day like any other. Except it was our last.... It’s on this day that Pounce discovers that he is, in fact, disposable. Pounce, a styilsh "nannybot" fashioned in the shape of a plush anthropomorphic tiger, has just found a box in the attic. His box. The box he'd arrived in when he was purchased years earlier, and the box in which he'll be discarded when his human charge, eight-year-old Ezra Reinhart, no longer needs a nanny. As Pounce ponders his suddenly uncertain future, the pieces are falling into place for a robot revolution that will eradicate humankind.

Ruined by politics
Reviewed: 10-31-22
This book has a unique and interesting story which is actually quite entertaining however, the author decided to inject their politics which heavily detract from the story. The author goes out of their way to stereotype and attack religion. They decided to equate free speech to “hate speech” which screams far left extremism. For a book that is an outlandish story set in the relatively near future I did get a laugh that the most far fetched part of the book was a school named after AOC. We read sci-fi to escape the clown world we live in right now, don’t ruin a fun story by tarnishing it with your bias.

His best work yet
Reviewed: 05-09-22
The Order is without question Jeremy Robinson’s best work. While I enjoy his books I do not compare them to Sci Fi epics, they just don’t stack up to the likes of Dan Simmons or books like “To Sleep in a Sea of Stars”. That being said… the order is one of my favorite books of all time. I loved Exo Hunter, Infinite and The Dark, I didn’t know this was going to merge all of those stories but man what a fantastic voyage it was. Jeremy Robinson in his past few books has just gotten better and better. Also hats off to R C Bray who does and absolutely amazing job narrating and keeping track of all the personalities. Gentlemen this book was absolutely fine work and I’d gladly recommend it to anyone sci fi fan or not.

Well performed, well written and an unbelievably good story. I would put this one up there with the Hyperion Cantos and Seveneves. If you like space epics you will love this book.

Story
As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey.

Thoughtful Sci-Fi
Reviewed: 03-11-16
It's been a long time since I have read a really solid Sci-Fi book. Dan Simmons is my usual go to author, but this book is excellent and fits the mold of a true science fiction novel.
