Would you consider the audio edition of The World War 2 Trivia Book: Interesting Stories and Random Facts from the Second World War to be better than the print version?

I would like to start off by saying I enjoyed the audiobook version of this. The chapters are short enough that for commuting it works very well. The only small gripe I have is the list of facts at the end of each chapter get monotonous to listen to.

And so on... The good news is that the lists only take a few minutes to go through.

What about Derek Newman’s performance did you like?

Clear tone that isn't monotonous. Great enunciation and diction. Excellent performance!

Any additional comments?

I feel like this is a great INTRODUCTION to a ton of great topics on the war!
Briefly mentioned are things like the night of the long knives, d-day, and Both the pacific and Italian campaigns. There are also mentions of other books, memoirs etc.
If you are interested in a possibly the best memoir of any grunt ever in any war I would recommend Eugene Sledge's With the Old Breed.....

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Perspective from the author. Lack of empathy or insight. Of all the accounts of war I have read this is the worst. Want to read the best? With the old breed by Eugene Sledge.

What was most disappointing about the authors’s story?

Lack of empathy. Or introspection.

Which scene was your favorite?

Him getting medivac into a hotzone :)

What character would you cut from American Sniper?

None.

I love the Cabal series! Have read them all and wanted to go through them all again. I’m glad I purchased the audiobook. I had a great time listening while I worked. The voice performance was spot on!
