Elford Alley is such a genius. I had so much fun with this one. I love a good spooky story with heart. I’m not saying there is a twist but if there was it was very twisty. I enjoy the writing style. The narration really drove the story home. It breathes new life into a genre that’s over saturated at times. Definitely need more of Abe and the crew! Highly recommend.

Story
It’s just an average night at the Ink Tank, the tattoo shop in Austin, Texas, where Brynn works as a tattoo artist. After a long shift, all she wants to do is head home, pop a few pills from the fresh bottle of Roxicodone in her jacket pocket, and slip into a nice buzz.

Survival of the fittest

This story is a mix bag of horror/ roadtrip and survival. The creature described in the story reminded me of Tremors which was a fun picture to see in my head while reading. I did enjoy the authors writing style. Everything flowed so well and the chapters didn’t feel long. S/O to the author for making unlikeable characters the underdogs because by the halfway point I was really rooting for them to survive. Even though Bryn was our MC she got on my nerves at times . Even Alan surprised me a couple do times. Despite their flaws this story was action-packed with some heart.

A Twisted and Eerie Collection

Another phenomenal collection by one of horror’s hidden gems. This collection of short stories is a treat for any horror fan. I guarantee you won’t leave without enjoying a couple. My highlights were The Auction , Aphrodite and
Serial Killer . I have to applaud the narrator for playing with voices in some of the stories. Her delivery in The Auction was some of my favorite. I thoroughly enjoyed that story. This collection was eerie with twists that left me wanting more.!

Mike O truly brought to life this thrilling story by Jen Bernardini! I’m usually not a fan of multiple POVs but this story was so entertaining that they balanced each other out so well. I had a great time listening! I have to applaud the author for creating such a compelling story. If you’re a fan of Stephen King this book is right up your street!

Story
Drama teacher Abby Devlin has always dreamed of being a world-famous actress. While stardom has, so far, proven elusive, she has made quite a name for herself at McMillan Playhouse, where she’s just been cast in a self-written production. Her triumph quickly turns to dread, however, when she learns that McMillan has cast a soap star as her new leading man. After a painful divorce, Dean Altman, former soap star and a single dad, readjusted his priorities, moving back home to Galveston, Texas with his young daughter, Preslie.

Wow! The narrator elevated the story and truly brought it to life. The story is divided into two halves and her ability to change her accent to differentiate the parts is mind blowing. Truly talented. The story felt more grand and immersive with the audio addition. Overall it’s good writing . If you’re a fan of the Matrix /1984 this book is for you.

I loved this story so much as I’m a big fan of western stories. This audiobook version just brought the story more to life. The narrator knocked it out of the park. His ability to change accents & tone made it so much easier to differentiate the characters. This was so much fun. If you enjoy western with a bit of supernatural elements this book is for you.
