This was a very enjoyable 'audiobook', read by the author. I love to hear the person who's life it is about actually reading it, because there are tones and innuendo you don't get from someone else reading about your own life! Especially Jon. It is a candid look into his amazing careeer, keeping it real without being unnecissarily vulgar (he warns at the opening this is not a bed time story for the kiddos!). I respect that he offers his viewpoint and insights of Charlie Sheen's troubles, but if you're looking for a "tell-all" about that, you won't find that here. This is about Jon's life, remember?
As someone who has worked in and around the entertainment industry I super-appreciated (is that a word?) the details he goes into. He also explains well enough for someone not as familiar with the industry to understand the meaning and undercurrents of what is going on. We have a "Patti LuPone connection" as she played the mother on a TV show I stood in on for 3 years.
A very entertaining read/listen with a candid and honest peek into the serendipity that is "Hollywood" (and Broadway)!
