Having just defeated Thidrek the Terrifying, Dane the Defiant and his friends have little time to revel in their victory. Since the god Thor has retrieved his hammer once again, he can’t help but use it—constantly. Now the rains won’t stop, and there are no fish or game to be found. The villagers need someone to blame, and they choose Dane as their scapegoat.

Inspired by Norse mythology, James Jennewein and Tom S. Parker created a fantastical saga with the RuneWarriors series. In Ship of the Dead, the third in the thrilling series, Dane the Defiant questions his heroic actions after the return of Thor’s Hammer brought drought to his village, his mother was kidnapped, and his beloved Astrid was lost.
