Man Down

Jasper, watching Mason go down, is all-in on the investigation. Taking over the current investigation team, he distrusts everyone. Tesla, his cousin, expects Jasper to get to the bottom of this and fast. ER nurse Amber isn't on Masons team but knows something major is happening. The hospital is overwhelmed with men, as they want updates on Masons condition. A few look like they belong, and then a couple don't. Taking pictures of those in question, she sends them to Jasper, which starts a cascading chain of events. And none of it good.

Masters has joined Jasper’s investigation team, when they realize another investigator went missing four months ago, yet his case is on hold. Part of the issue is that Masters needs to figure out who on the existing team is trustworthy. He reaches out to the missing investigator’s sister, looking for answers. Elizabeth has been seeking answers over her brother’s disappearance ever since the last time she spoke to him. With no leads, no tips, and no sign of him, the case ran cold.

Gideon immediately returned to Coronado base at the call for help. After hearing the issues facing him, he dove right in, knowing that he could bury the pain of his past broken relationship the same as he always had. The fact that they’d lived here in this city years ago didn’t make it harder. Yet, once he caught sight of Pearl, it made it almost impossible. Pearl broke up their relationship years ago, only to realize almost immediately that she’d made a major mistake. She quickly returned to Coronado, only to find that Gideon had shipped out overseas.

Tristan had volunteered his assistance on Mason’s case, as Jasper needs men he can count on. Tristan wasn’t expecting to meet the very interesting new coroner, but, as the bodies pile up and the mystery deepens, Tristan appreciates her expertise … and the spark between them. Amarylis had no idea working on Coronado base would be so interesting … or so dangerous. Apparently someone watched her during her work at the scene of a shooting, noting she had picked up something which someone wanted … badly.

Guilliam watched his long-term relationship dissolve, and, to a certain extent, he understood it. He knew when the time was right, he would try again. He didn’t expect to see her immediately upon arrival at the hospital though, as he joined Jasper’s investigation team. Janelle walked away from Guilliam to nurse her sick mother. It was supposed to be temporary, but the cancer was deadly, and Janelle now remains in the hospital room, knowing this is her mother’s last days.
