What happens when you revisit the journals and videos you swore you’d never forget - only to realize you barely remember them? In this episode, I take a step back into my 2019 return to the Camino de Santiago, digging through old notes, unearthing long-buried thoughts, and questioning why we record memories only to leave them behind.

I walked the Camino twice, each time with a different purpose. The first, a challenge: performing Underneath the Lintel along the way. The second, just to walk. To experience. To see what the road had in store. But now, looking back, I find myself asking - why do I keep journals but never read them? Why do I struggle to let go of the past, yet avoid looking at it too closely?

From the vineyards of Rioja to the quiet mornings leaving Estella, from serendipitous encounters with strangers to a special performance in Nájera, this is a journey through time as much as it is a walk through Spain. Ultimately, it leads to one simple truth: the most important moment is this one, right now.

So, lace up your boots…or don’t. This is a podcast - you can listen in your slippers.

  • Vancouver: Returning Illusions

Vancouver, time passing, the illusion of change, and the strange feeling of being the same person despite decades of life unfolding - this episode explores what happens when we return to places that once felt like turning points.

Twenty-five years ago, I stepped off a cruise ship in Vancouver, convinced I was at the beginning of something big. Now, after years of acting, walking, storytelling, and unexpected detours, I’ve found myself back in the same city, retracing old steps and asking: Have I changed? Or just gathered more stories?

Join me as I walk through Stanley Park, revisit the place where I had my first headshots taken, and wrestle with the trick time plays on us - the illusion that everything is different, when deep down, we might still be the same. Plus, a key lime cheesecake, an attempt at filming that went hilariously wrong, and a few thoughts on why we can never really capture a moment - only live it.

  • Sao Paulo: Persistent Patience

How do we balance persistence with patience? In this episode, I take you to the vibrant streets of São Paulo, reflecting on the tension between pushing forward and trusting the process.

This city, with its blend of chaos and calm, became the perfect backdrop to explore the quiet, unseen work that persistence demands and the growth that patience allows. Along the way, I dive into:

    • Why persistence is about steady, intentional effort rather than dramatic breakthroughs.
    • How fear and courage coexist and shape the way we move forward.
    • The active nature of patience and why waiting is never wasted.

With moments of reflection inspired by São Paulo’s towering bamboo, its history, and even its drizzle, this episode invites you to reflect on your own journey. How do you find balance in the push and pull of life?
