There is so much knowledge packed inside of books and you don't necessarily have to physically read the book you can also listen to the audio version if that better suits you but books overall have so much knowledge and information that it's vital for you to take advantage of that opportunity because again knowledge and information alone can help you not only avoid mistakes but shorten the learning curve for you. 
4. When you work on yourself you don't necessarily change but you evolve and your true inner self is able to fully come out to the world. Working on your mindset and your personal development enhances your true self and allows you to step into that next level of your life.
5. If you really want to focus on yourself start by putting time limits on your social medias or removing ones that truly don't serve purpose in your life. Stop getting caught up in what this person or that person is doing with their life when it has no impact on your life. This world is designed to wrap you up in all the stuff that goes on outside of your life so it's up to you to set boundaries to allow yourself to focus on you and what you have going on.
