Acerca de esta escucha

A seriously whimsical blend of humor, parody, comic relief, and news about the growing resistance movement. Plus, as a bonus, it’s a place for indulging in nostalgia, with the “A Look Behind in Rewind” podcast series that’s reminiscent of the late great Jean Shepherd of WOR-Radio. Tom’s stories range from childhood escapades to college hijinks to crazy tales from film/broadcast/ad agency days, including interviews with American Bandstand mogul Dick Clark and others. “A Look Behind in Rewind” podcast lengths are generally 8-10 minutes; other pieces vary in length, depending on subject matter. Season 3, Episode 1: Ever had to deal with name-calling? Not necessarily the bullying kind, but perhaps some milder variety like people using your formal, given name instead of the more user-friendly nickname you prefer? This podcast episode revisits some childhood experiences in which made-up names played a part in our early development. In this podcast series, Tom Nielson tells stories, shares memories, and concocts whimsical, light-hearted tales inspired by his own life experiences, channeling the styles of Jean Shepherd, Garrison Keillor, Mark Twain, Jerry Seinfeld, and other renowned storytellers.
