Dave interviews Christina Medina about the real issue of church trauma. Christina is part of the Z-generation, a graduate of USF, and a successful professional. Still, she has experienced personal church trauma relating to her family and the solutions found only in Jesus. She also endorses the positive results of Christian Counseling and the decisions to know and understand Biblical truth to help overcome.

Dave and Mark discuss the importance of the holy Lenten season, a time of repentance, remembrance, rededication, fasting, and confession. The men take a birdseye view of Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter (Resurrection Sunday. It is amazing to see how Passover and Christmas tie in with this Holy Season as well!

Dave discusses the misconceptions of forgiveness with his wife, Tonya. For over ten years, Tonya has led the successful Celebrate Recovery at The Harbor Church, helping hundreds overcome their hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Tonya also talked about the three main aspects of forgiveness that will bring personal and relational health.

David interviewed his wife, Tonya, who has been the long-time leader of The Harbor's Celebrate Recovery ministry for years. They discuss the question, "Are we really honest in our relationships?" The simple answer is no. Our culture is drowning in a flood of codependent behaviors. Still, Tonya encourages us to overcome them in Jesus and some common sense principles found in the Bible. We don't have to live with the unhealthy lies of people-pleasing and denial. We can live in honesty, truth, and power. This is the first of many more discussions in 2025 on this subject.

We can learn from all generations, but what is happening with Gen-Z, between the ages of 13-29, is crazy amazing! Dave discusses Gen-Z with Alexus Rocha, The Harbor Church Children's Director and MomCo Coordinator. Be encouraged! Great things are coming and are already happening in Gen-Z. Dave and Mark discuss the second Love Capacity commitment. The goal is to raise our capacity to love, like Jesus, by following His Great Commandment of loving God and others as we love ourselves. It's not easy to do because of our sinful, screwed-up, dysfunctional lives, but it is possible!

Raising our capacity to love is hard! In fact, our capacity to love only goes as far as our willingness to love the people we struggle with the most. Let's face it: sometimes, we struggle with God, others, and ourselves.

This year, we are taking The Love Capacity Challenge. It's based on 1 Corinthians 16:14, ""Let all that you do be done in love." (NKJV)

This challenge includes making five commitments to help us raise our capacity to love. The commitments are as follows:

1: Knowing God's love.

2: Following God's love

3: Living God's love daily.

4: Giving thanks for God's love.

5: Evaluating God's love in me daily.

Dave talks about the potential struggles and victories that come in making these commitments. He encourages you to join his wife Tonya and him on this journey to love more like Jesus.
