Chris Jurney with the Colorado Conservation Alliance shares how his organization is working towards a more responsible wolf reintroduction program that will be better for both managers, citizens and the wolves. Later we get an introduction to Colorado Parks & Wildlife District Wildlife Manager Scott Murdoch. CPW manages 961 species of wildlife, just 78 of which are game species. Mr. Murdoch introduces himself, the responsibilities of CPW and the role they play in wildlife biology, management and education.

On this special edition episode of Through the Gates, Dan Gates is collaborating with Rokcast and Whitney Tramel of the Wild Strength Podcast. Whitney was instrumental in engaging the audience and telling her story and support of science-based wildlife management in the fight against Proposition 127 - The Hunting Ban in Colorado. They discuss the movement that was built, and the efforts beyond ballot box biology including victories in the legislature, commission and beyond. While Prop. 127 was a monumental victory, the effort must continue as the Coloradans for Responsible Wildlife Management (CRWM) is actively fighting anti-hunting bills and bans that specifically target beaver harvest, take of furbearers and trapping.
