As Carina and Jacob recover from her birthday celebrations, they reflect on their very different experiences growing up wog. Whereas Carina spent so long ashamed of not being like the other girls in her school, and rejecting her Italian heritage, Jacob always felt part of such a big, diverse community and embraced his Croatian background.
