In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m reminding you that you cannot mess this up. Now that you know how to approach health and fitness from an inside/out perspective, the path forward is yours to define. You don’t need to feel frustrated about decades spent trying the weight loss industry’s quick fixes, because now you’re building something real, starting with your preferences and creating sustainable routines you actually enjoy.

I talk about how you can extend this mindset beyond your workouts and meals, into your relationships and day-to-day life. It’s about letting go of actions, habits, and even connections that drain you, and shifting toward what truly fits who you are. This isn’t about cutting people off or living a rigid life, it’s about clarity, calmness, and deliberate choices.

I also share how consistency becomes a skill that supports you in dealing with the parts of life that you may not love but have to face anyway. By building consistency in health and fitness around your preferences, you create a foundation for managing challenges in other areas of life without feeling overwhelmed.

You deserve a life that you won’t look back on with regret, and it’s never too late to start. Be honest, compassionate, and keep moving forward.

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m talking about what real discipline truly means and why it has nothing to do with forcing yourself to grind through workouts you hate or pushing through just because someone says you should.

A calm mind is the foundation for becoming the best version of yourself. When your thoughts are steady, you’re able to observe, adjust, take action, and reflect without feeling like you’re fighting an endless mental battle. Many people believe discipline is about getting up early, working out when you don’t feel like it, or sticking to a strict routine. But that’s low-level discipline. The highest form of discipline is loving yourself in a world constantly telling you that you’re not enough.

I share how the inside/out approach to fitness goes far beyond food and exercise. It’s about practices like journaling, spending time outdoors undistracted, connecting with your reflection in the mirror, and exploring creativity in ways that allow your mind to rest and expand. These habits help you see life from a wider perspective, make decisions more confidently, and have more compassion for yourself and others.

Discipline is the daily work of staying connected to yourself, even when you don’t feel like it. It’s about living outwardly from a place of calm rather than reacting to every thought or distraction. And it’s the path to genuinely enjoying an active lifestyle you can sustain for the rest of your life.

Whether you’re working on your own or inside the YLF Experience, remember that the actions you take matter, but what drives those actions matters even more. If you want to explore this further or get more personalized guidance, check out the links above.

  • How to Stop Playing by the Weight Loss Industry’s Rules

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m sharing why you and I were never meant to win the weight loss game the way it’s been sold to us. Just like the house always wins at the casino, the weight loss industry sets us up to keep playing and spending without ever truly feeling satisfied.

We’ve been taught that if we lose the weight, we’ll finally feel the way we’ve always wanted to feel. But even when we hit our goal weight, many of us still look in the mirror and find new things to criticize. The idea that “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” or that weight loss will fix how we feel about ourselves is one of the biggest illusions out there.

I talk about how maintenance is this dream we keep chasing, thinking life will finally calm down once we get there, but for most people, it never comes because we’re stuck following the industry’s rules instead of building a foundation based on our own preferences. The real path forward is connecting with yourself and deciding that your body is worthy and good at every stage, whether it changes or not.

I share how to build your own eating and exercise plan, one that’s actually yours, not just some “optimal” method someone else created. When you base your active lifestyle around things you genuinely enjoy, you’re playing your own game instead of chasing someone else’s finish line. There’s no room for guilt here. Nothing is off limits, and you don’t have to convince yourself to enjoy any of it.

This episode is a reminder that weight loss, body composition changes, and any external achievements are all byproducts of a life you actually love living. My goal is for you to feel comfortable in your own skin at every stage, past, present, and future.

If you’re ready to explore how to build this foundation for yourself, check out all the links above. Whether you’re doing this on your own with the self-paced resources or you’d like some extra guidance, I’m here to help you create a forever active lifestyle that truly fits you.
