    Of the 15,000 children transported through or imprisoned in the Nazi concentration camp of Theresienstadt, fewer than 92 survived. When I found myself sitting in an Israeli cafe with one of those child survivors, a handsome, now elderly man with bright blue eyes and an infectious laugh, I couldn't have imagined the journey I was about to embark upon.

This is an amazing story about the incredible life of Gidon Lev..I own the book, and this podcast just serves to bring his whole story to life in a heartfelt way. We are lucky to learn in the dust of Gidon's feet.

This is a great podcast. If you enjoy your facts served straight up, with a side of whimsy, humor and sass, then listen to Julie Gray's THE TRUE ADVENTURES OF GIDON LEV. It's a super-accessible way in to understanding Israel and its place in the world. Julie is a pleasure to listen to, it's well written and full of fascinating history.
