I have been listening to this podcast for more than five years at this point. It stranded the line between getting me through difficult times with biting comedy and great interpersonal dynamics between hosts, yet also shining a light on the cruelties, injustices and excesses of religion.

Some find that humour is too harsh or crosses the line too often (and for some, once is enough), and that is perfectly understandable. But the hosts never punch down, always up.

Production qualities are also usually top-notch (unless, say, Eli forgets to turn on his mic).

Funny and biting commentary on the world we live in and the stupidity of religion.

These folks are irreverent, intelligent, and they will enlighten you and piss off pearl-clutching church-goers who want excuses to hate gays... and they'll have you laughing all the while.

I like the fact that they do point out a lot of the issues with modern religion, and the fact that atheists are pretty much put a second-class citizens. they point out a lot of the issues that are out there in some funny, though often sarcastic ways. perfect? no but they're not striving for Perfection there's striving to get you to think.

biting commentary, Sly humor, pointed intelligent conversation
