The Remnant with Jonah Goldberg

De: The Dispatch
  • Resumen

  • In “The Remnant," Jonah Goldberg enlists a “Cannonball Run”-style cast of stars, has-beens, and never-weres to address the most pressing issues of the day. Is America doomed? Has liberalism failed? And will mankind ever invent something better than ‘90s-era “Simpsons?” Mixing political history, pop culture, rank punditry, and shameless book-plugging, Goldberg and guests will have the kinds of conversations we wish they featured on TV. And the nudity will (almost) always be tasteful. Brace your bingo cards.

Frustrated with never-ending interstate repairs and constant airline delays, Jonah Goldberg looks to the sky and wonders; Why does nothing work? Marc J. Dunkelman, fellow at Brown University’s Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs, has the answers. Marc and Jonah discuss the origins and transformation of American progressive policy, the spirit of the NIMBYs, and a bold proclamation that we need even more institutions to achieve good governance. Jonah Goldberg is joined by Luke Coffey, senior fellow at the Hudson Institute and Ukraine expert extraordinaire, to discuss his recent visit to the region and the state of the Ukraine-Russia war. Jonah is the brain we all need to hear

Former National review writer and brilliant brain. Ive been listening for about six months and I never miss one. He does all the heavy lifting to review the latest social issues and news and communicates the meaning- connecting to smart political philosophy and with respect for his opponents. Great guests and his drivetime rants- well, its like the smartest people from the college dorm discussing current events —in the best way. Conservative without all the crazy.

Makes thinking enjoyable

Principled, educational, and fun, I am never sorry I spend the time. Jonah and crew have helped me build confidence in the way I think and discuss ideas.
