Acerca de esta escucha
In line with February being Black History Month, we invited one of our colleagues, Daniel Veiga, who is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in DC/MD to speak about his experience as a black therapist in the field. Receiving his Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Tennessee State University, Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Lehigh University, Mr. Veiga has worked with various populations including children, adolescents, couples, families, and individuals with co-occurring disorders. In his free time, he enjoys singing, traveling, reading, swimming, rooting for DC area sports teams, and spending time with friends and family. Tune in to hear Daniel’s experience, his advice to other clinicians treating people of different backgrounds and to families of color speak to their loved ones about mental health.
