    Jun 9 2025

    Series: World of Wrestling

Season 1: Beauty & The Big Dog

    Episode 1: A Rookie Rises

Chapter 4: The Big Dog's Bark

    Text:

    Jessica roamed the halls

    Talking to whoever she saw.

But no one was willing to cross

    Will Rothschild’s power and awe.

So as Jessica went past catering

    For the eleventh time,

The Atlantyx and Keri Starr decided

It was time to play with her mind.

    Keri approached from catering,

    Smiling as she walked.

    Keri: “How we doing Supergirl?

    How was Rothschild’s talk?”

    Before she could even answer

Mack and BJ stepped up from behind.

Mack: “Girl, you’d be insane to fight us tonight!”

    “You guys are lame.

No spilling food on me, Keri?

Or are you afraid to see,

    My title belt you’re wearing

    Getting all gross and messy?”

    Keri smiled and nodded.

    Mack and BJ attacked.

They grabbed Jess’ arms at the wrists,

And held them behind her back.

Keri got right in Jess’ face,

And smiled until her cheeks hurt.

Keri: “You will never take this title from me, you silly little squirt.”

Keri ran her hands along her gold belt,

And Mack whispered in Jess’ ear,

“Besides, you’ve got a lot more tonight,

Of which you should be in fear.”

Jessica looked and saw some red

    In her periphery.

Mack was yanked back by his nostrils,

    And Jessica pulled free.

She saw the rookie she’d met earlier,

About to stand toe to toe,

With all six-foot-six of BJ Bass.

    Then Keri Starr yelled,

    Keri: “Whoa!

Save it for the ring neanderthals!”

Joshua: “You punks be glad I got a nap!

    Jessica needs a partner tonight?

Guess what? I got her back!”

  • Guardians of Atlanta Chapter 6 - Progress Is Knocking
    Jun 7 2025

    Series: Guardians of Atlanta

Season 1: The Legend of Stone Mountain

Episode 1: Cyclone Jones: The Long Summer

    Chapter 6: Progress Is Knocking

    Text:

Dinner time came for the happy Jones family,

They sat down to enjoy their meal,

But something cold still lingered in the air,

And all three of them could feel,

The relentless spirit now climbing their steps-

A monotonous drone in his heart,

And soon that drone would collide with their happiness,

    And trouble truly start.

    Progress moves can’t be stopped.

Trees cut down and then they’re chopped.

    Progress will never be dropped-

’Til this whole culture is swapped.

During dinner time with the Jones,

A knock came to the door and everyone froze.

Father Reed went to the door to open.

On the other side, was a man who was hopin’

To take their farm, take their land, And turn it into a strip

    mall.

He reached out to shake Reed’s hand- But he wasn’t gettin’

    no “Howdy y’all?."

In fact, he wasn’t even gettin’ a “No, sir.”

But against this man, nothing would deter,

Man: "My name is Phillip Keller."

Reed: "Don't worry Phil, I know you.

    You've been sending your vultures

    Off and on since 2002."

Phillip: "Well, you'll be happy to know,

    The offer tripled in price."

Reed: "It doesn't matter, now get off our porch."

    Phillip: "Gee, aren't you nice?

I'm telling you, you're sitting on a goldmine!

This land is a big-budget deal!"

Reed: "Didn't you hear me? I said, get gone!

    You should know the drill!"

    Reed closed the door sharply,

    And Phillip Keller smiled,

    His plans for their land

    Going longer than miles.

    He took one more glance

    At their yard and said:

Phillip: "Looks like Mr. nice guy

    Is finally dead."

    Reed Jones had said no.

There was nothing he could do.

    He slammed the door on-

    his corvette and stewed.

    But still, Phillip plotted,

    but still, Phillip planned-

To one day put an end

    to this Southern strand.

He then drove off but inside Reed was asked

By his wife Emily "Who was it that passed-

By our door during dinner?" She happily chimed.

    Reed: "Phillip Keller himself!

Guess what he wanted this time?"

Cyrus: "Is he still coming around?"

    Cyrus asked in dismay

Reed: "Him and his cronies come by every day.

At least that's how it feels most of the time."

Emily: "That's enough about that then.

    Would y'all like some wine?"

And as the Jones's enjoyed their dinner,

    And Phillip Keller drove away,

The drone in Phillip Keller's heart,

    Droned louder with wild decay.

    Progress moves can’t be stopped.

Trees cut down and then they’re chopped.

    Progress will never be dropped-

’Til this whole culture is swapped.

    May 30 2025

    Series: Notes of Destiny

Season 1: The War for Harmadonia

    Episode 1: The Windy Wood

    Chapter 4: Tattle-Tale

    Text:

    Windy couldn't bear to watch.

Slave traders could be so cruel.

    Especially the Pirate kind,

    Who treated people like tools.

    So she decided quickly,

    To go tell Papa Bog.

She thought he might be back at home.

So she ran. She didn't jog.

    Papa Bog adopted many kids,

Herself and most of her siblings.

She hoped he'd adopt the handsome one,

Whose cries in her ears were ringing.

But he generally didn't adopt one

At that late of an age.

    She had been a baby

When her life turned that page.

Her home wasn't that far away

From the East end of the fair.

The leaves crunched beneath her loudly.

As the wind blew through her hair.

    But as her family's treehouse

Came over the hill into sight

Windy's blood ran cold in her veins,

    As panic gripped her tight.

    Pirates with the same tattoos

    That the earlier pirates had,

We're pouring something around her home-tree.

That could be nothing but bad.

    Windy's scream pierced the air,

As she bolted toward their sheds

    Pirate: "Stop you little Tattle-tale!

    Stop or else you're dead!".

  • Guardians of Atlanta Chapter 5 - Home Is Where The Heart Remains
    May 26 2025

    Series: Guardians of Atlanta

Season 1: The Legend of Stone Mountain

Episode 1: Cyclone Jones: The Long Summer

Chapter 5: Home Is Where The Heart Remains

    Text:

    Fast Forward on through time

    To several years later,

Cyrus was in college at UGA

And celebration was in the air.

The night before the last day of school,

    Cyrus had a party invite.

She would meet her friend Cindy at a club called Top Dawg

And they would party into the night.

Cyrus didn't do clubs very often,

But Cindy had been close to her,

    At least in recent weeks.

But she still wasn't quite sure.

Regardless, she got dressed to the nines,

And put on her best leather boots.

And as she walked into that club called Top Dawg,

    She felt her senses uproot.

The music was so very loud,

Her heart muscles struggled to beat.

    She couldn't see Cindy anywhere,

    The darkness was so complete.

Then as her ears adjusted to the sounds,

She heard a million cuss words.

She quickly decided that this place,

    Was simply for the birds.

A drunken man grabbed her by the arm,

and said to her: "Let's dance!"

Cyrus angrily wrenched her arm away,

And the man fell in a drunken trance.

She left Top Dawg as quickly as she came,

And a tear rolled down her cheek.

The feeling that she had of being misplaced

    Had finally reached it's peak.

The hope of Summer hovered over her,

And the thought of returning home.

To a place, where she was understood.

    Where she'd never be alone.

Fast forward about twelve hours later,

Cyrus was in class, zoning out with a blank stare.

Summer break just a few minutes away,

She stared at that clock for what seemed like days.

And even in that crazy little town of Athens,

The pressure was too much on a girl who raised chickens,

    horses, cows, and crops.

That bell rang, and there were no more stops.

The quicker she’d get there, the quicker she’d be,

Back among the pine, creeks, and peachtrees.

No matter what happened, no matter what changed,

One thing never did. 'Cause home is where the heart

    remains.

And as she went home she saw her world a'changin.

Every time she stepped out, construction was a blazin’.

It was amazing! All the shops and malls

and offices and streets. Cyrus: “Man, they got gall!”

Cyrus thought every time her mind would drift

when the winds of progress would shift.

they’d leave a bigger mess than ever before

the South been slowly dyin’ since the Civil War.

The quicker she’d get there, the quicker she’d be,

back among the pine, creeks, and peachtrees.

No matter what happened, no matter what changed,

one thing never did. ‘Cause home is where the heart

    remains.

And Even though the borders of the Jones's home

were surrounded by the aforementioned stores and

    chrome,

their 20 acres of land were glorious.

    Cyrus ran inside feeling victorious.

The minute she opened the door to her home

she knew that she was no longer alone.

All of everything she felt had melted away

in the arms of her parents, tonight she’d stay.

    Country roads, take her home

To a place where she belongs.

    Alpharetta; that’s her hometown.

    Take her home, country roads.

    May 21 2025

    Series: Ghost Trucker

    Season 1: Stragglers

Episode 1: En Route To Fort Bragg

    Chapter 3: More Signs

    Text:

The night air was still upon their route.

    Not even a little breeze.

Melanie lay cuddled up in the passenger seat,

As he drove steadily, and with ease.

Now that she had drifted to sleep,

    He flipped on his radio.

Hoping to find a good station,

To keep him alert and on the go.

He flipped to the first channel on the dial,

“I’ll never forget the songs we sang.

I’ll never forget the games we played.

I’ll never forget the times we had.

And I owe it all to you.”

    Mike changed the station,

    He hated that song.

    But it buzzed and crackled,

    And before too long,

It repeated those same four lines again,

    And he punched the radio

    In frustration then.

““I’ll never forget the songs we sang.

I’ll never forget the games we played.

I’ll never forget the times we had.

And I owe it all to you.”

Melanie stirred at the sound of the punch,

And the swelling of the tune.

Then Mike tried to turn it off,

But the song fought through the gloom-

Of the night, and the darkness around,

And and began to grow louder

    Than every other sound.

“I’ll never forget the songs we sang.

I’ll never forget the games we played.

I’ll never forget the times we had.

And I owe it all to you.”

Melanie stirred as Mike grew cold,

And the noise continued to grow.

But Mike had to hold his wheel tight,

And keep his eyes on the road.

For even though he felt no wind-

Against the sides of his rig,

    The overhead roadway signs quavered,

And started to do a jig.

Melanie screamed as one fell down,

And Mike had to swerve to pass.

Others began to melt like butter,

As they went under an overpass.

    “Just hang on!”

    Mike screamed aloud,

As they rocketed down the road,

And Melanie closed her eyes shut,

And tried to be brave and bold.

  • World of Wrestling Chapter 2 - Screwed With
    May 20 2025

    Series: World of Wrestling

Season 1: Beauty & The Big Dog

    Episode 1: A Rookie Rises

    Chapter 1: Screwed With

    Text:

Into the locker room Joshua went

    Every ounce of energy spent.

He found himself an empty locker,

And didn’t plan on being a talker.

On a bench, he laid himself down,

And his destination was sleepy town.

He put his hat over his face,

Showering definitely had a later place…

Josh was picked up by the lapels,

    And slammed against a wall.

He stared up at a man who stood

About 6 foot 6 inches tall.

The dark skinned man glared at him,

As a voice from the periphery said:

    Voice: “Your scrawny pencil neck

is beyond all types of dead!”

Josh looked down and to the side,

And saw Lil’ Mack standing there,

A rapper who had become famous in Atlanta.

His bodyguard was built like a bear.

That bodyguard, BJ Bass by name,

Had become Mack’s tag team brother.

The Atlantyx were how they were known.

    And other teams they’d smothered.

    Mack flashed his tag title,

    And BJ shoved again.

Joshua: “Is this your locker here?

You could just ask like men.”

Mack: “You’d like that a lot, wouldn’t you, rookie?”

Just then Lil’ Mack trailed off.

    Another presence made himself known

    With just a little cough.

The Atlantyx threw Josh’s bag across the room,

And began to take their spot,

And The World Champion Warren Nickolson

    Led Joshua Slayter off.

To the other side of the locker room,

Warren led Joshua with no words.

Joshua shook Warren’s hand, and thanked him.

“They’d have chopped me in thirds.”

Warren: “Keep your nose clean, Bigdog.

    This is The WWL.

    Not NGPW anymore.

    Still… I think you’ll do well.”

    With that word of encouragement,

    Warren headed away.

And Joshua collapsed on another bench,

To hopefully get some sleep this day.

  • Bards Vs. Zombies Chapter 1 - Battle of The Bands
    May 19 2025

    Series: Bards Vs. Zombies

    Season 1: Breaking Outbreak

    Episode 1: Next Stop Wichita...

Chapter 1: Battle of The Bands

    Text:

Battle of the Bands had finished.

The roadies packed up the show.

    Wannabe rock stars milled about

Networking before they had to go.

    Jacob Forte, and Lia Hulin

    (Meta Avenue, by name.)

    Didn’t win the big battle.

But their best lyrics prize won them fame.

They sat over in a corner,

    Plucking on guitar and singing.

Occasionally another act would come over-

And offer praise over their lyrics’ ringing.

“This was a pretty sweet overall gig.

Better than I thought it’d be.”

“You’re always so worried it won’t go well.

    Will you ever see?

    People like us, Jacob.

A lot more people than we know.”

“Maybe... “ Jacob said with a smile.

Then he jumped up to his toes.**

    A loud crash had sounded,

Just at the front of the stage.

The bassist for one of the bands threw a fit-

And an amplifier out of rage.

Bass Guitarist: “You get rid of Ember, you get rid of me!

Go get your little cousin to do it for free!”

The drummer, a young woman, sheepishly frowned.

“You didn’t have to do that for me.”

The lead singer of that band came out,

And yelled with the bassist for a moment.

Jacob got tired of it and walked over.

“Come on guys. Let’s end it.”

The Lead singer rolled his eyes,

    And began to walk away.

**“Dude, sucks you left your band.”

Bassist: “They had it coming anyway.

    I’m Mikey. This is Ember.

    Your guys’ song was great.

    Didn’t exactly rock though.”

“But the lyrics we wish they’d imitate.”

    Ember pointed over her shoulder,

As her old band began to leave.

“Well, we’ve got the lyrics if you’ve got the rock.”

    “Are you serious?!”

    “I am.

My girl, Lia is over there.

And we’re about to leave in our bus.

You guys want to hop on our tour?

Want to come to Indiana with us?”

    Ember smiled mischievously.

    Mikey yelled: “Alright!”

Lia embraced them with open arms,

    And in an hour,

    They left for the night.
