  • "A" History of The Traditions
    Mar 25 2025

This week on The Living Clean Podcast, Francis and I are joined by Chris B., Boyd P., and Ron H. for a unique episode that steps outside our usual format. During a recent gathering, Chris and Boyd were walking us through one of the many presentations they’ve designed and developed on the history of Narcotics Anonymous. Francis asked if we could record the experience, and they graciously agreed.

It’s not your traditional episode—because it wasn’t designed to be—but it’s packed with insight. You’ll not only learn more about the Traditions themselves, but also get a behind-the-scenes look at the effort and passion that goes into creating these kinds of presentations.

Whether you’re passionate about NA history or simply curious about where our Traditions come from, this one’s definitely worth a listen.

    Mar 5 2025

This week on The Living Clean Podcast, we sit down for a conversation with Vito L., who recently celebrated an incredible 65 years clean on February 14. While Vito’s story is well-documented and can be found on YouTube, this episode isn’t about retelling it—we just had a real conversation with him.

We talk about the early years of Narcotics Anonymous, what it was like growing up on the streets of the Bronx, and, of course, dive into some good old N.A. history. From the struggles of the early fellowship to the wisdom gained over decades of recovery, Vito shares his unique perspective and experiences.

That and more on this week’s episode of The Living Clean Podcast!

  • DRT/MAT as It Relates to NA: Helping Members Take Root
    Mar 2 2025

In this episode, we dive into one of the most discussed topics in Narcotics Anonymous today—how we, as a Fellowship, navigate Drug Replacement Therapy (DRT) and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) while staying true to NA’s principles. With no unified stance on the issue, many groups struggle with how to welcome newcomers on MAT without compromising NA’s foundation as a program of complete abstinence.

We’ll explore NA’s literature, the importance of identification, and how we create a sense of belonging for all addicts seeking recovery. We’ll also discuss the Third Tradition, personal experiences, and practical ways to foster unity within the Fellowship.

Join us as we break down myths, challenge misconceptions, and focus on the primary purpose of NA: carrying a message of hope and freedom to the addict who still suffers.
